Ms. Wells is coordinator or the SIDS program at the Iowa Department of Public Health. She has an extensive background in human rights, having held positions at the Iowa Department of Human Rights and the Philadelphia Urban League. Ms. Wells currently serves as president of the Minority Outreach Task Force of the Des Moines Chapter of the American Red Cross; as Minority Health Liaison on the Chemically Exposed Infants & Children Advisory Council, and as a member of the Iowa Minority AIDS Outreach Task Force. She is also a member of the Iowa SIDS Alliance, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and the Optimist Club.
