Leslie L. Randall is a member of the Ni Mii Pu (Nez Perce) Nation. She is a nurse with a Masters in Public Health and specializes in Maternal Child Health. Leslie has worked for the past 7 years with families who have lost infants both as a research and a counselor in the Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service. She was able to combine traditional methods of support to the families as well as western methods. She, presently, works for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as an Epidemiologist, and is assigned to Indian Health Service Headquarters West to provide technical consultation and assistance on Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), infant mortality and Maternal Child Health issues and various other epidemiology projects.
