Texarkana Gazette, TX - Jun 11, 2006 A building fire Thursday in the 2800 block of Beech Street. An unauthorized burn was reported Wednesday in the 1100 block of Elm Street.
A disturbance with a weapon was investigated Friday in the 2700 block of North State Line Avenue.

Work to extend Towpath Trail to Lock 2 Park begins July 1

Work on extending the hike-and-bike trail from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (the Akron Innerbelt) to Lock 2 Park behind the Canal Park stadium is expected to begin July 1 and take about six months, said city spokesman Ken Kostura.
