Digital Body Fat Scale
Shiny Media, UK - 23 hours ago The Digital Body Fat Scale uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) technology to measure your body fat, which is a good thing to know if you're one of
Up to four people can enter their personal data (height, age, gender) and the scale will recognise them and track their individual body fat histories.  It certainly must be better to track body fat fluctuations this way, rather than relying on those other three people in the house to ask, "Are you putting on weight?" from time to time.  Because that never ends well.  For anybody.

The skinny on body fat
SheKnows.com, AZ - May 25, 2006 health. However, relying too much on the scale is a mistake, because it does not measure one very important factor: Body fat. Most
The downside to using the BMI calculation is that it does not factor in body type and build. A person with a high muscle mass might weigh more than a person with low muscle mass, yet they will have a lower body fat ratio. According to an advisory issued by former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. C. Everett Koop in the Shape Up America program, using body fat percentage as an indicator of health is much more accurate than BMI.

High-tech scale weighs in with your body fat
Sci Fi Tech, NY - Jun 16, 2006 themselves off as "innovations," but we really do love technology here at SCI FI Tech (it's in the name), and it's products like the Body Fat Control Scale
love technology here at SCI FI Tech (it's in the name), and it's products like the Body Fat Control Scale that show us why. Here's a gadget that takes the everyday experience of weighing yourself and uses technology to improve upon it in a meaningful way: in addition to telling you your current poundage, the BFCS will also let you know your percentage of body fat. All you need to do (apart from stepping on the thing) is input your age, height, and gender — the scale can keep track of up to four different people at once. The idea is that when you begin a training program to lose weight, you'll likely build muscle at the same time you're burning excess fat, which means your overall weight won't change for a while, even though you could already be fitter and healthier. With the BFCS, you won't get discouraged like you would with a regular scale, which would keep showing you the same weight no matter how many crunches you do at the gym. It works by passing a tiny electrical current through your body and measuring your body's resistance (since fat has very low conductivity compared with the rest of your tissue). Great idea, plus we respect its high-tech design — it should look right at home in bathrooms of the future.

In weight loss, body fat can be hardest hurdle to get past
Dayton Daily News (subscription), OH - Jun 5, 2006 "If your body fat percentage is in the 90th percentile, you can lose 10 pounds in three months pretty easily. In the 75th percentile, maybe not.".
Everybody can keep track of his or her weight, but body fat is another matter. That's why Laubach hopes couch potatoes as well as athletes will take advantage of UD's new Bod Pod. It measures the amount of air a person displaces to calculate fat percentage within a 2 percent error rate, and without the cost or inconvenience of equally accurate techniques.
