Dad faces prison in death of infant
Los Angeles Daily News, CA - 49 minutes ago Infant David Jesus Hernandez was pronounced dead in April 2004 at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles after he was taken off life support devices, prosecutors said.
After the baby died April 21, prosecutors added a charge of murder against the father, and upgraded a child-abuse charge against him and the mother - from child abuse resulting in brain injury to child abuse resulting in death.

According to the incident report, the district attorney's office ordered an autopsy into the infant's death, and a search was conducted at the location the baby was being kept. The incident report stated the location was operating as an "unlicensed daycare center" and the caregiver was keeping six children of her own and five children of other families for whom she had no names. "This investigation continues at this time regarding several criminal issues," the report states.
